Daphine Allen (Boucher)
Daphine Boucher Allen
March 6, 1941 ~ May 16, 2018

Daphine Boucher Allen “Nana,” age 77, died peacefully on May 16, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. She was born to the late Uel and Myrtle Boucher on March 6, 1941 in Erath County Texas. Upon her death Nana was rejoined with her beloved daughter Cathy Ann Allen and son-in-law Kenneth Bean.
Daphine attended Dublin grammar school before attending Dublin High School. Nana’s early life on a farm cultivated a strong work ethic, the gift of green thumb in the garden, a love of creatures great & small, and an unfailing commitment to family. She was an avid basketball player serving as both the Captain of the Girls’ Basketball Team and honored as “Most Athletic Girl” in 1957. At the age of 16 the small town beauty married and moved to Houston. Daphine would go on to become one of the first women to manage a nationally branded retail clothing store. After giving birth to two beautiful daughters Daphine devoted herself to raising her family where her focus remained until the day she died.
Daphine is survived by her sister, Lena Flory; brother-in-law, Ray Flory; her daughter, Brenda Bean; grandchildren, Brandilyn Moore, her husband Shawn and their three children - Kaitlynn, Derek and Sawyer , Austin McCullar and wife Amanda, and Jarred McCullar and wife Kelly Marie and their daughter - Emma Jae. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
