Condolence From: Steve Floyd

Condolence: My condolences to the family. Mrs. Helm lived a long and fruitful life. Sometimes people wonder why a person like her has to get old and die. The answer is found in the Bible. In Genesis 3:1-15 is the account of Adam and eve and their rebellion against God. The result was that they were sentenced to death. Romans 5:12 explains it best where it says "That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned—"So this is why we die. What God has done is to take steps to undo what Adam caused. A very familiar Bible verse, John 3:16 tells us that God gave His beloved son's life so we could be forgiven of our sins and get everlasting life. When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming to be baptized he proclaimed: “See, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29) What kind of everlasting life does God mean? Condolence: LaVerne was a joy for everyone around her. We will miss her tremendously. She spread the joy of the Lord. She was very much an inspiration to us. There is no doubt that she is in the presence of the Lord. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We can all be thankful for the great memories and inspiration we have as a result of her life. She left everyone better than she found them.
