Gracie Bonnell Lane peacefully went home to our Lord, August 25, 2017
In Stephenville, Texas

Funeral services for Gracie will be on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Hamilton O'Dell Funeral Home and followed by interment at Monte Vista Cemetery.

She was born to Charles Bonnell and Grace Harkeness Bonnell on October 27, 1915 in Cloudcroft, New Mexico.

In her 101 almost 102 years of life she was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by so many and loved so many. She treasured all 5 generations of her family.

She married Rex "Buster" Lane on January 21, 1936 in Roswell, New Mexico. They lived most of their life in Cloudcroft and Alamogordo. They spent their precious 59 years together working side by side in the family businesses, Lane Plumbing, Alamo Pipe and Supply and Lane's Western Wear. She was a member of New Heart Cowboy Church and The Cowboy Church of Erath County.

Gracie was preceded in death by her husband Rex "Buster" Lane. Her brothers Kiel, Charles, and Fred Bonnell; her sisters Ruby Forehand and Fay Bell Bonnell; her son Rex Lane Jr., her daughter Fay Tidwell; her son-in-Law Jerry Smith. Her grandson Thad Tidwell.

She will be missed and remembered by her brother Dwight "Rusty" Bonnell of Aztec and sister Frances English of Durango, CO, brother-in-law Norman Lane and wife Joy of Alamogordo sister-in-law Mrs. Lois (Gene) Lane of Silver City, her daughter Myra Smith, of Alamogordo, her son-in-law Fred Tidwell and wife Brenda, of Alamogordo her daughter Jeannie Fifer and son-in-law Phil Fifer of Stephenville, TX her son Jesse Lane and wife Belenda of Alamogordo. Her grandchildren John Grisak of Santa Fe, Ron and Kim Grisak of Alamogordo, Dale and Becky Blalock of Rio Ranch, Todd Tidwell of Alamogordo, Tab Tidwell of Alamogordo, Ken and Crystal Delano of Alabama Dave and Dreama Lyon of Fort Worth, Texas, Rodney and Charris Dean of Las Cruces, Danny Ray and Cheryl Fifer of Salem, Chris and Sheila Williams of Stephenville, TX, Brandon and Michelle Lane of Albuquerque, Chris and Tiada Gonzales of Alamogordo. Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or Alzheimer's Association.
