Obituary for Jimmy Conatser

Jimmy Ernest Conatser
May 6, 1937—August 13, 2017

Jimmy Ernest Conatser, 80, of Jacksboro, Texas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 13, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Sweeten officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday.

Jimmy was born on May 6, 1937, to the late John and Mable Hickey Conatser. He married Peggy Joyce Moser on September 13, 1956, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Jimmy graduated from Lingleville High School and attended Tarleton State University. He moved to West Texas in 1962 where he started his long career working in the oil industry. He retired from Getty Oil Company, worked in sales and management for Compressor Components, where he started the Oklahoma City Branch. He then moved to Andrews where he owned and operated two oilfield businesses. He retired and moved to Jacksboro, Texas in 2013

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Peggy; son Keith and wife Debbie Conatser; daughters, Penny and husband Tom Olle, and Charlotte and husband Darrell Newman; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Beverly Conatser, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jimmy was also preceded in death by brothers, Marvin, Otis, Jack, Ray, Kay, and Bobby Conatser; sisters, Betty Ruth Robinson and Mary Jo Sheppard, and two brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.

The Conatser family would like to thank Solaris Hospice Care nurses, and all the other individuals who helped take such good care of Jimmy.
