Janice Sneed, 78, of Stephenville passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at her home.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM, Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Stephenville Funeral Home with burial to follow at West End Cemetery. The family will host a visitation from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday evening, August 20.

Janice was born on April 8, 1938 in Randolph, Tennessee, to the late John William and Lucy Leona Goforth Standridge. She graduated from highschool in Munford, Tennessee and then moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked for the FBI. She married Vernon Sneed on February 10, 2001. Janice worked in the maintenance department at Tarleton State University, retiring in 2012. She had resided in Stephenville since 1972, was an avid walker, and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon Sneed; children, Tammy Hill of Stephenville, Tommy Denio and wife Kim Gower of Temple, and Michael Denio and wife Elizabeth of Gatesville; grandchildren, Kacy Burtchell and husband Josh, Trent Denio, Samuel Denio, Andrew Denio, Crystal Zaniewski and husband Joe, Christie Corliss, Joey Burzynski, Taylor Hill, and Mason Hill; great-grandchildren, Haigan Burtchell, McKinlee Burtchell, Jaxton Burtchell, Lawson Burtchell, Kylee Hunter, Brenden Zaniewski, Zoey Zaniewski, Kyler Dick and Grace Corliss; and sisters, Willie Mae Lawson, Barbara Osbourn, and Glenda Kight all of Tipton County, Tennessee.

Janice was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Cramer; and two brothers, John Standridge, Jr., and Huey Paul Standridge.
