Calvin Edward Blasingame, 66, of Stephenville, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Stephenville Funeral Home with burial to follow at Erath County Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 24, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Calvin was born October 5, 1949 to the late J.M. and Opal Blasingame. He was married to Janice Boyd Blasingame for 45 years. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard for six years and retired from FMC Technologies after 36 years as a machinist. Calvin was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. He was also a member of the Antique Tractor Club of Stephenville, one of his many passions and where he felt the other members were family. He leaves behind many friends and family. He never met a stranger and was loved by all; he will be greatly missed.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Jan Blasingame; daughter, Heather Jennings and husband Jeremy; and twin grandsons, Trenton and Corbin Jennings, who he felt hung the moon; siblings, Marlene Hancock and husband Floyd, Keith Blasingame and wife Sheila, David Blasingame and wife Margaret, Bud Blasingame and wife Bea, Nancy White and husband Carl, Katherine McMullin, Charlotte Baxter and husband Ronnie, Patsy Davis and husband Carl; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Blasingame, J.M. Blasingame, Vernon Blasingame, and John Oliver Blasingame; two sisters, Wanda W. Glowacz, and Dianna Osment; and his son, Calvin Eugene Blasingame.
